‘Inner Sanctum: Entering the Cave’ – Nicolya Christi
(Part 1 has been written for the Northern Hemisphere. Part 2 will be focus on the meaning of the nine-month phase between 06.06.12 – 20.03.13 for both Northern and Southern Hemispheres).
Today (14.49 Universal Time) marks the beginning of a journey into the dark inner-cosmos of our being as we cross the threshold of the Autumn Equinox and move, slowly and mindfully, towa
rds the Winter Solstice. Today extends an invitation to all who wish to align more fully with the ancient alchemical cycles of Nature.
The phase between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice is a mysterious time; an ancient and essential rites of passage for those who consciously engage with it. A time full of the potential for rebirth on the Winter Solstice, when we emerge from the dark inner-depths and into the Light of a new dawn. This is the Promise when we are consciously aligned with such a phase.
The duality between light and dark exists within both the collective and the individual, and it is by engaging in the work of spiritual transformation that we can bring both Light and dark together in Union. We are now entering into the phase of The Dark, a rich fertile soil in which to sow the seeds of Light which will blossom from the Spring Equinox of 2013.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Autumn Equinox is the time of the descent into the underworld, where we stand on Hallowed Ground and immerse ourselves in the sacred soil from which grows all the abundance and life-giving properties essential for our peace and happiness.
The Winter Solstice is the moment when we experience maximum darkness, just before the Sun rises and brings with it the return of the Light. This is the time of Spiritual Rebirth. At the Spring Equinox, the Light becomes greater than the darkness. This is the time of Resurrection. The Summer Solstice represents the time of Ascension. I am sharing this now because of what I will write in Part 2 – ‘Conception, Crowning, Birth: The Dawn of a New Epoch and the Birth of the New Human’.
The Autumn Equinox is a time for descending and immersing into the rich and infinite velvet Black Cosmos that is within, to become aware of, and then lovingly facilitate whatever needs to die, in order to enable our rebirth to an elevated level of consciousness and way of Being.
The spiritual practice of the Mystic is internal. It is mostly invisible and is alchemical. Such is the time between the Autumn Equinox and the Winter Solstice when intense inner processes, conscious and unconscious, move us ever more deeply into the Great Mystery of Ourselves.
